These Terms explain the rules for using BrewLog, including subscriptions, public recipe sharing, refunds, and account responsibilities.

Effective date: March 15, 2026

BrewLog terms
Please read these terms carefully before using the service.

1. Who runs BrewLog

BrewLog is operated by Kevin Fang. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the BrewLog website, applications, and related services.

By using BrewLog, creating an account, or subscribing to BrewLog Pro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use BrewLog. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

If you sign up with an email and password, you may need to verify your email address before accessing certain features such as creating, importing, or publishing recipes.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the recipes, brew logs, notes, profile details, and other content you submit to BrewLog.

You grant BrewLog a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, reproduce, and process your content solely to operate, improve, secure, and provide the service.

If you choose to make content public, including through shared recipe links, browse listings, or your public profile, you allow BrewLog to display that content to other users and visitors.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use BrewLog to violate the law, infringe intellectual property rights, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or upload malicious code.

You may not post content that is fraudulent, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful. You also may not scrape or bulk extract data from BrewLog except as permitted by law or with written permission.

5. Public sharing and moderation

BrewLog includes optional public features such as shared recipe pages, browse publishing, and public user profiles. Content you mark as public may be viewed, linked to, or indexed by search engines.

BrewLog may remove content, limit visibility, suspend features, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for users, or expose BrewLog to legal or security issues.

6. BrewLog Pro and billing

BrewLog may offer a paid BrewLog Pro subscription that includes premium features such as unlimited recipes. Features, pricing, and availability may change from time to time.

If you subscribe, you authorize recurring charges using your selected payment method until you cancel. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before renewal.

If you cancel, your subscription benefits remain available through the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise stated.

7. Refunds

If you are dissatisfied with your first BrewLog Pro subscription purchase or believe you were charged in error, you may request a refund within 7 days of the initial charge by contacting support@mybrewlog.com.

After that period, refunds are not guaranteed and may be issued at BrewLog's discretion, except where required by law.

8. AI features

BrewLog may offer AI-powered features such as recipe parsing. These features use third-party AI services and are provided on an "as is" basis. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it. BrewLog does not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or completeness of AI-generated results.

9. Availability and disclaimers

BrewLog is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. BrewLog does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that all data will always be available or preserved without interruption.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrewLog disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kevin Fang and BrewLog will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability arising out of or relating to BrewLog will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to BrewLog in the 12 months before the claim arose or 100 U.S. dollars.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kevin Fang and BrewLog from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using BrewLog at any time. BrewLog may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or if continued operation is no longer practical.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute terms, and contact provisions, will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or BrewLog will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to those courts' personal jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BrewLog regarding the service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

16. Changes and contact

BrewLog may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, BrewLog may update the effective date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
